PERFORMANCES

A Collection of Incredible Stories:

Oxford House, London, 7-22 December 2004

Stitched:

Smirnoff Underbelly, Edinburgh Festival 2005

“A wonderful mixture of physical theatre and puppetry”

THE BRITISH THEATRE GUIDE

“A cast of five uses physical theatre and Japanese puppetry to give the impression of being at least ten”

THE STAGE

“The way the stories are told works brilliantly…The highlights are the action sequences and the creative use of props, which make for a wonderfully visual show…an all round, well-crafted piece of theatre definitely worth seeing.”

Devised by RoughCut Theatre

Reworked as 'Stitched" for the

2005 Edinburgh Fringe

"At the end of Stitched, when five actors take a bow, it comes as something of a shock. You expect at least ten people to walk out. This is due, in part, to well-rounded performances, but also to Rough Cut Theatre's inventive staging. If a character needs to travel, they don't move, the set does. Puppeteers dressed entirely in black slide paintings, pieces of paper and furniture across the stage - anything to give the illusion of motion."
